Loom With A View

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger

I hope to be a better blogger... I have had a bit of a setback with my right arm, which put my weaving way behind. The physical therapy has gotten me to a much improved plateau. I can now move the arm with a minimal amount of pain most of the time. Weaving is still slow as well as caning. I did managed to get a couple chairs done over the past couple months and finish off my green warp as well. Been getting rug uploaded onto ETSY slowly but surely.

Now I really need to kick some weaving butt. Spoke to a surgeon on Wednesday the 25th and now have surgeon scheduled for the 21st of May. Now that a deadline is looming (pun intended) I feel the pressure of getting all the weaving, felting and caning I can get done in 6 weeks possible.

Wound on a brown warp last night and hope to get it sleyed today. A lady is bringing over three chairs to cane today so I need to fit that it as well.

Wave Wave Still Alive

Spent the last few days finishing off the green warp on the loom. Then I had to take pictures of all of them, then measure and tag them all, then fix and crop the pictures then re-take pictures of the ones that I screwed up, then fix those pictures and crop them. I did get four rugs up on Etsy today though so that is a big accomplishment.

I have my surgeons consultation on Thursday about my shoulder... It is looking more and more like surgery is going to be necessary. My arm just will not work the way it is supposed to and the way I need it to in order to do my art. School is ok, but it's the rest of my life that will be the problem. We shall see.

Maddie is in Lyon for a small spring break before they go to Spain. She continues to have a good time.

Puck is complaining about the play a great deal. Midsummer Night's Dream is his favorite play and they are butchering it with a re-write.. Why must people feel like they need to re-write Shakespeare? Oh well at least I only got peripherally roped into helping a little with costumes (I loaned some)

I am still trying to get used to my missing tooth... even if it is in the back it is a mighty big hole and a little uncomfortable. Oh well.

This is beginning to sound like a whine again LOL... that is about all... the snow is melted and the basement didn't flood too badly... that is good :)
